Comforting because I see how much you care and put your heart into this. Terrifying - for me - because you are so incredibly good at it, that sometimes I get demoralized to see the great work you put out, as I think that I may never will be able to equal such originality and wit.
Happily one great video from drummer El Estepario Siberiano, I ran into this week, gave me comfort and deep inspiration on this very point. It’s 20 minutes long, but it is a true story that reflect exactly my feelings and maybe the ones of many others.
The closing advice is deeply touching and I will make sure that, just for El Estepario, you remain an inspiration to do more and better without bowing to unnecessary comparisons. We are all little stars needing to shine.
