Love this!! I’ve been working on a research project but this gives me fun and fresh new ideas of how to approach it that I’m excited to try. Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you Katrina. Curious to see what I have inspired you to create. Feel free to notify me when it will be out.

Wonderful and accessible approach to curation! Love the idea of finding and following a core group of domain experts and refreshing every quarter or so. Also, appreciate the shout out. 🙏

You are very welcome Karen.

P.S.: Not sure, what I may have written that translated for you in: "finding and following a core group of domain experts and refreshing every quarter or so", but I am curious to find out.

I read your article from beginning to end, and I found it fascinating, giving me something fresh to think about and incorporate into my work. I don't think people know or think about that they need somebody to curate and do their research for them. But once they discover someone who has put together a resource that they didn't know they needed until they saw it, then it all makes sense to them. How can we learn from that? Or what's been your experience?

Hello Greg, thank you for your kind words. I am glad you found it inspiring.

You’re right: most people don’t wake up thinking “I need a curator.” But then again think how many times in our lives we refer to trusted friends to find out what to read, where to dine, travel to or buy something. So we are familiar with this experience, but we may have not learned yet how to use it for everyone's good in our publishing practice online.

What we may learn is that the more we make visible why what we curated matters and how it fits in a certain context, the more others start to understand the real meaning of this work.

Love your content re:curation. Super interesting!

Thank you dear Mia. What is it that you like and how could I improve it?

Nobody talks about curation! At least, in my internet circle 😀 so it's something that fascinates me and I do think we need more curators (i.e. YOU)

You are right Mia.

But on the other hand, nobody is spontaneously interested in curation, unless he/she has a history - like you - of studying, researching, investigating beyond what’s immediately visible.

The good - non-obvious thing - is that curation is a precursor to many of the things, our friends are instead actively looking for: visibility, credibility, trust.

So, it may be that the time has come for more people to discover curation if we led them to it by intercepting their immediate needs, rather than evangelizing something they have no interest into.

How does that sound?

Good points!
